Warrior/USL High School Boys' Players of the Week (June 19)

The Warrior/US Lacrosse Players of the Week are named each Tuesday to recognize the most outstanding individual performances in high school boys' lacrosse in each of the five regions — Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, South, Midwest and West — outlined in our high school coverage.

Northeast

Spencer Robbins, Longmeadow (Mass.)

Robbins, a senior captain, scored with 3:05 left in regulation to propel Longmeadow to a 6-5 win over St. John’s (Mass.) in the Central-West Division II final Friday. The Lancers rallied from a 4-1 deficit to clinch a berth in the state championship game.

Also notable: Tim Kuta, Acton Boxborough (Mass.); Noah Froio, Cohasset (Mass.)

Midwest

Alex Rejda, Prior Lake (Minn.)

Rejda scored five times, including two fourth-quarter goals, against Benilde-St. Margaret’s (Minn.) on Saturday to help Prior Lake to its second Minnesota state title. Rejda notched three tallies and a pair of assists in the state semifinal over Lakeville North (Minn.).

Also notable: Jerome Newhouse, Benilde-St. Margaret’s (Minn.).
