The Epoch/US Lacrosse Players of the Week are named each Tuesday to recognize the most outstanding individual performances in high school boys’ and girls’ lacrosse in each of the five regions — Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, South, Midwest and West — outlined in our high school coverage. (The South region season is complete.) Make it Epoch.
Sarah Conley, Needham (Mass.)
Conley scored seven goals to lead Needham to an 18-8 win over Andover (Mass.) in the Division 1 state semifinals. She followed that with two goals and two assists as Needham claimed the Division 1 state championship with an 8-5 win over Longmeadow (Mass.).

Abby Johnson, Eden Prairie (Minn.)
Johnson scored six goals in a 16-10 victory over the Blake School (Minn.) to lift the Eagles to their third-straight state title Saturday. In Eden Prairie’s state semifinal win over Farmington (Minn.) on Thursday, Johnson scored twice. She tallied 36 goals for the season.
