Wholesome Art and Poetry from a New Mexico Lacrosse Family

ARTWORK BY BODHI HENDRIX BROWN

This article appears in the March edition of USA Lacrosse Magazine. Join our momentum.

Yes, there’s lacrosse in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

A thriving scene, in fact, fueled by the great work of ABQ Youth Lacrosse, a USA Lacrosse member league that has experienced tremendous growth over the last decade with support from the sport’s governing body.

So color us unsurprised when we received three separate submissions from the Brown family of Albuquerque. Bodhi Hendrix Brown, 5, won us over with his personification of a lacrosse stick.

“My butt is wet,” the stick complains as it lay in the dewy grass.

That got us.
