Good morning. Here's the latest from the lacrosse world:

1. Athletes Unlimited made major headlines yesterday.

The young network of professional women’s sports leagues has already grown immensely in three years, and now thanks to $30 million in new funding, there could be more to come.

Kevin Durant and Rich Kleiman’s 35V highlight the diverse group of investors who put forth the $30 million. Durant has now invested in both AU and the Premier Lacrosse League this year.

2. The next World Lacrosse Super Sixes event is coming to Canada.

Oshawa, Ontario, will play host to a women’s Super Sixes event from October 7-9 featuring Canada, the Haudenosaunee and England. The double round-robin format will include six games across three days with an event final on Sunday, Oct. 9.

3. Ryan McClay persevered his way into the hall of fame.

A gold medalist with the U.S. men’s national team in 2002, McClay was cut from the 2006 team. He wasn’t done yet, though. McClay returned to make the 2010 roster and win another gold medal.

In October, he’ll be in enshrined in the National Lacrosse Hall of Fame.
