1. Monday night lacrosse scoreboard.

After a week full of upsets and close games in NCAA lacrosse, two games highlighted a muted Monday schedule. In Division I women’s lacrosse, No. 15 Yale, fresh off an upset of Princeton, blitzed CCSU 16-6 behind five points (3 goals, 2 assists) from Chloe Conaghan.

In the NLL, Philadelphia jumped in front early and survived a late surge to defeat Toronto 11-10.

2. Nike/USA Lacrosse rankings mayhem continues.

The latest NCAA rankings featured more shake-ups as teams continue to forge identities and prove whether preseason prognostications were right, wrong or otherwise specified.

Denver and James Madison picked off Maryland, ranked No. 2 to start the season, in women’s Division I. They rose in the top 20, while Yale enters for the first time this season. But UNC keeps its top spot after an emphatic win against Boston College. Complete rankings.

Virginia remains No. 1 in men’s Division I, while Penn State, Rutgers and Yale made big gains. Complete rankings.

There’s a new No. 1 in the Division II women’s rankings after Pace upset East Stroudsburg. It’s West Chester. Pace enters the top 10. Complete rankings.

The Division II men’s poll also has a new team in the top spot: Le Moyne. The rankings are turning into the Wild, Wild West, though. Complete rankings.

Washington & Lee appear to be for real and are now second in the Division III women’s rankings that are still dominated by defending champion Middlebury. Complete rankings.

3. PLL free agency begins with major headlines.

The PLL’s first free agency period started Monday, and some of the league’s biggest stars are already on the move. Will Manny’s run with the Archers is over. Manny, who poured in 103 points during his four-year Archers career, is headed to the Whipsnakes on a two-year contract that runs through the 2024 season. Marcus Holman is joining the Cannons for at least a year. His father, Brian Holman, recently took over as head coach and general manager. Marcus also played for his father at UNC.
