Monica Borzillo opened the first game of 2021 in style.

She produced five goals and six assists. She tied her own Cincinnati single-game records with 11 points and six assists, and better yet, she made them count.

Trailing 19-18 on Sunday afternoon against Marquette, Borzillo scored the equalizer with 1:38 to play. That set up the game-winner from Alyssa Adams with 22 seconds to go.

Borzillo, a fifth-year attacker, is the Cincinnati career leader in assists, points, player-up goals and game-winning goals. She is second on the all-time goals list.
