Mary Soures scored nine goals in a 21-20 win over Iona and four goals in a win over Wagner.

Siena needed every single on of Mary Soures’ nine goals in a 21-20 win over Iona on Saturday.

The senior scored two goals within 1:06 late in the fourth quarter, putting her team down 20-19 and tying the score at 20. That set up the game-winner from Nicole McNeely with just three seconds left on a feed from Grace Dobrzynski.

Soures also scored four goals in a midweek win over Wagner, giving her 13 goals on 59.1-percent shooting during a 2-0 week for Siena. For her efforts, Soures is the USA Lacrosse Magazine Division I Women’s Player of the Week.

The nine goals she scored against Iona broke Siena’s single-game program record and tied two other players for the most goals scored in a game this season.
