When it came down to overtime, Kara Rahaim didn’t waver.

The junior goalie from Ridgewood, New Jersey, made two stops on the same possession to set up the game-winner for Stanford less than two minutes later. In total, Rahaim made 19 saves with a 57.6 save percentage to lead Stanford to a 15-14 win against USC, its Pac 12 rival. For her effort, Rahaim is the USA Lacrosse Magazine Division I Women’s Player of the Week.

Rahaim has improved dramatically from 2021, when she started seven of the 12 games she appeared in and saved 36.9 percent of shots. This year, she’s saving 48.1 percent.
