Izzy Scane had a ridiculous week — just the latest in what has already been a ridiculous season.

The junior furthered her case as a potential Tewaaraton Award frontrunner, scoring a program-record 10 goals on Friday against Rutgers before following that performance with six goals and two assists against the Scarlet Knights on Sunday. Northwestern improved to 7-0 by outscoring Rutgers 43-17 in the weekend sweep.

Scane was at the heart of it all, and she is the US Lacrosse Division I Women's Player of the Week.

The Michigan native already has 43 goals and 10 assists in 2021. Her 43 goals lead the nation despite having played two fewer games than Jamie Ortega of North Carolina, who has scored 38 times in nine games. Scane leads the nation in goals per game (6.14).
