This season, USA Lacrosse will celebrate the accomplishments of players across Divisions I, II and III each Tuesday with Player of the Week recognition. Players of the Week are selected by USA Lacrosse Magazine staff and contributors based on a variety of factors, including individual performance and impact on team success.

DIVISION I

CORINNE BEDNARIK, DREXEL

Drexel snapped a two-game losing streak with wins over LIU and Johns Hopkins last week, and ending that skid might not have been possible without Bednarik. The senior midfielder scored three times against LIU but saved her best performance for the Jays, scoring three goals with five assists in a 16-11 win — something of a statement upset for the Dragons. All told, Bednarik totaled six goals, 10 draw controls, five assists and five ground balls last week.

DIVISION II

ANGELINA PORCELLO, PACE

The All-American midfielder fueled Pace's 16-6 upset of former No. 1 East Stroudsburg with a game-high five goals and one assist. The junior, who led Pace in scoring with 61 goals and 73 points last year, also added four ground balls and eight draw controls in the win over ESU. 

DIVISION III

LYDIA CASSILLY, FRANKLIN & MARSHALL

The Diplomats bested two ranked opponents in Messiah and York last week, and Cassilly was at the heart of both wins. The sophomore attacker combined for nine goals and one assist in the 2-0 week, only needing 16 shots to do her damage. Cassilly also contributed three ground balls and one caused turnover against Messiah.
