Yale won its third straight Ivy League title thanks to a stellar performance from junior attackman Ben Reeves, earning him Epoch/US Lacrosse Player of the Week honors.

In the 10-9 championship win over Brown, Reeves, the 2017 Ivy Player of the Year, led the Bulldogs with a team-high four points on a hat trick and an assist. Trailing 8-5 at halftime, Reeves sparked a three-goal run for a third quarter shutout of the Bears to tie it 8-8 entering the fourth quarter and hand the momentum back to Yale.

For the second time this year, Reeves outdueled Brown's 2016 Tewaaraton winner Dylan Molloy, who only had two goals in the Ivy final (On April 15, Molloy had four points, while Reeves had 10 points in Yale's 18-12 win).

But it all started with the Ivy League semifimal, a four-overtime 13-12 win for Yale over Penn. Reeves led with six points on three goals and three assists. He scored the game-tying goal with 53 seconds left in regulation, then assisted the game-winning goal by Joseph Sessa at the 2:56 mark in the fourth overtime period.
