On Wednesday, in frigid conditions, Carey made eight saves as the Buckeyes downed Towson 6-3. He followed that up with an 11-save performance while allowing just six goals in Ohio State's 16-7 win over Denver. The victories moved Ohio State to 9-0 for the season and into third place in this week's Nike/US Lacrosse national rankings.
Carey's 5.49 goals allowed average ranks second in the country and his 61.9 save percentage ranks fifth.
