Hannah Powers has been one of Loyola’s go-to offensive threats throughout the season, leading the team with 51 goals and sitting second with 95 points. Powers has shown the ability to both score in bunches, but also find her teammates when the time is right.

She was up to the task last weekend at the Patriot League tournament. In Friday’s semifinal win over Colgate, Powers scored eight goals and added an assist to fuel the 20-12 blowout. As an encore act, she dropped nine points on four goals and five assists to lead Loyola to the 21-9 Patriot League championship win over Navy.

Powers, the senior, won Patriot League tournament MVP for her efforts – 18 points in two Greyhounds’ victories. She’s dropped nine or more points three times this season, and adds two more seven-point games.

She’s our Brine/US Lacrosse Player of the Week.

The Brine/US Lacrosse Player of the Week, selected by US Lacrosse Magazine staff and contributors, recognizes the top performers in Division I women’s lacrosse throughout the season.
