Ian Schermerhorn and Rhode Island are on top of the MCLA Division II poll for the second week in a row.

ATLANTA — For the second straight week, it’s Rhode Island in charge of the MCLA Division II New Balance Weekly Coaches Poll, which was released on March 15.

The Rams (6-1) took care of business against former No. 7 — and now No. 10 — Grand Valley State (2-1) at home to remain in the big chair. Rhode Island was awarded 25 of the 27 first-place votes cast. St. Thomas (2-1), which has been idle for the month of March, remains at No. 2 with the remaining two top votes.

The remainder of the top six was static, as Montana (8-1), Montana State (5-1), Missouri State (3-0) and Kennesaw State (5-1) stay in their three-through-six spots. There were no additions or subtractions from the Top 25 from last week.
